Aiko is ready to elavate your discord server! # How to use Aiko? Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/how-to-use-aiko Too lazy to read docs? Ask Aiko! We already made document as small as we can, but it's still long. **Ask Aiko with command to get started instantly!** ```text theme={null} /about ``` For example: ```text theme={null} /about how to setup reference? ``` This is why Aiko exist, don't be afraid to ask her \~ This command cost AI credits. # Memory Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/memory Let Aiko know you better Aiko can retain durable personal facts that help future conversations, such as your role, stable preferences, timezone, or an ongoing project. Memories are isolated by **user** and **Discord server**. There are two ways to trigger memory feature. ## Auto Capture Memories Triggered each time a question is answered, Aiko will analysis if it contains facts about the user themselves. If yes, it will be save in memory. Any content **below 12 chars or above 600 chars** will not be considered as memory candidate. Furthermore, suspected keys, passwords, repeated content will also be rejected. Every user have a 5 minutes cooldown for this feature, cooldown still applied even if nothing is saved. You can turn on/off this feature by using command `/user` → Memory → Turn on/off button. Default setting of this feature is on. ## Manual Capture Memories You can add your own memory if needed, of course. Right click on a specific message → Apps → Aiko → Add to Memory No any additional limit with this command. It can only be messages you sent yourself, or messages Aiko replied to you with. ## Delete Memories `/user` → Memory → Manage Button → choose memory to delete ## Limits Aiko Free : Up to 8 different memories in total. Aiko Plus/Pro/Max : Up to 25different memories in total. ## What Aiko should remember Memory is intended for durable, useful facts a member states about themselves. It is not the server reference document. Server rules, FAQs, and announcements should be placed in [reference channels](/docs/reference) instead. # Introduction Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/merge-api/introduction Design for document, same quality but lower cost ! # Personal Personality Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/personal-personality Setup personal system prompt for Aiko Your personal persona changes how Aiko speaks to you specifically, layered on top of the server's persona and Aiko's base personality. It's isolated by user and Discord server — a persona you set in one server has no effect anywhere else. There are two ways to set your personal persona. ## Choose a Preset `/user` → Persona → open the preset dropdown → pick one Same five presets available server-wide: | Preset | Style | | ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | Friendly | Warm, upbeat, and encouraging; casual, welcoming tone | | Professional | Polished and professional; no slang, no emoji | | Playful | Playful and witty, light humor, occasional kaomoji | | Concise | Fewest words possible, skips pleasantries | | Support | Patient, empathetic; reassures first, then step-by-step help | ## Reset your personal persona `/user` → Persona → Set as Server button ## Write a Custom Persona `/user` → Persona → **Custom** button → enter your own instructions → submit Must be between 1 and 1500 characters (Discord enforces the 1500 cap directly in the text field; the field is required, so it cannot be submitted empty). If you're currently on a preset, opening Custom starts blank — it does not pre-fill the preset's wording. It only pre-fills if you already have your own custom text saved. Your personal persona is layered last — after Aiko's base personality, any static deployment overlay, and the server-wide persona set via /settings. It adds your personal flavor on top; it never replaces the core reply rules. ## Limits Personal persona is available on Aiko Plus, Pro, and Max only. On Aiko Free, the Persona section shows a notice instead ("available on Plus/Pro/Max") and everyone uses the server persona. Custom persona text: 1–1500 characters. ## What personal persona is for It's meant to change tone, not facts — how Aiko phrases things when talking with you, not what she knows about you (that's [memory](/docs/memory)) or what she can answer (that's [reference](/docs/reference)). # Our Plan Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/plan Subscription choices Every server runs on one of four plans. Here's what changes between them — and what doesn't. ## Plan comparison | Feature | Aiko Free | Aiko Plus | Aiko Pro | Aiko Max | | ---------------------------- | --------- | --------- | -------- | -------- | | Monthly credits | 50 | 250 | 600 | 2,000 | | Reference document uploads | 1 | 10 | 10 | 10 | | Reference document links | 1 | 3 | 3 | 3 | | Memory entries per member | 8 | 25 | 25 | 25 | | Personal persona (`/user`) | ❌️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | | Server persona (`/settings`) | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | | FAQ entries (per server) | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | | Mentions | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | | Ticket assistant | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | The last four rows don't actually change between plans — they're listed for completeness. **Server persona**, **FAQ**, **mentions**, and the **ticket assistant** all work identically on every plan, including Free. The only member-facing plan gate anywhere is [personal persona](/docs/personal-personality), which needs Plus or higher. ## What a credit is A credit is Aiko's unit of AI usage. Every grounded answer on the `/aiko`, @mention, and ticket-assistant paths draws from the monthly credit balance above. A [FAQ](/docs/service-settings#faq-settings) match costs nothing, since it skips the AI entirely. Credits reset on the **next 30 days**. ## Check the current plan * Run `/user` — the top line shows `Plan: ` with credits used and remaining. Works for any member. * `/settings` → Usage — the credit total shown reflects the tier's monthly allowance. ## Change the plan * Visit our [Kofi](http://ko-fi.com/aikobot/tiers). * Run `/settings` → Plan → Link button → Enter your email to link your purchase email * Your plan should be instantly updated after payment, enjoy Aiko! # Quota Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/quota Setup quota for user, prevent one user from using up all the credits User quota is a fairness cap — it limits how much of the **server's own monthly credit allowance** any single member can burn through, so one person can't use it all up for everyone else. It's a percentage of the server's plan, not a separate credit pool. ## Open quota settings `/settings` → Usage → **Manage** next to **User Quota** | Field | Meaning | | -------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Default user quota (%)** | Max share of the server's monthly credits each member may use. `-1` for unlimited, or a whole number **1–100**. | | **Roles with a different quota** | Pick roles that should get a different cap than the default. Optional. | | **Override quota (%) for those roles** | The cap applied to the picked roles. Only used when roles are selected. | The default quota is **20%** until you change it. ## Override quota values The override field accepts three kinds of input: * **`-1`** — unlimited for the picked roles. * **`1`–`100`** — that percentage, for the picked roles. * **`0`** — removes the override entirely for the picked roles, falling back to the default quota. `0` is the only way to undo a role override once set — there's no separate "remove" button, just resubmit the form with the role picked and the override set to `0`. If a member holds **multiple** overridden roles, the most generous one wins: an unlimited (`-1`) role beats any percentage, otherwise the highest percentage applies. Overrides are meant to grant elevated allowances (VIP/staff/booster-style roles), not to further restrict someone below the default. ## What happens when a member hits their quota Behavior differs by how they asked: | Path | What the member sees | | ---------------- | ------------------------------------------ | | `/aiko` | An ephemeral reply — visible only to them. | | @mention / reply | A normal, **public** reply in the channel. | | Ticket assistant | Completely silent — no message to anyone. | The message tells them their personal share and percentage used, and that it resets at the next monthly reset. They can keep using Aiko once the server's credits reset, or a server admin raises their quota. This is a percentage of the *server's* plan limit, so it also stops applying once the server itself runs out of credits for the month — see [Plans and limits](/docs/plan) for each plan's monthly allowance. You need Discord's **Manage Server** permission to change quota settings. # Reference Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/reference Let Aiko know about your server Reference material is Aiko's source of truth for server-specific questions — FAQs, rules, product info, announcements, or anything else Aiko should answer from. A server can combine three kinds at once: Discord channels, uploaded documents, and web links. There are three ways to feed reference material. ## Reference Channels `/settings` → Reference → **Manage** button → **Reference channels** field → pick channels or a category → submit Picking a whole category expands to every text channel inside it. For each selected channel, Aiko: * Reads up to 500 recent messages * Keeps up to 40,000 characters, favoring the newest content * Skips Aiko's own messages and empty messages * Combines multiple channels under channel headings New messages in a selected channel trigger an automatic re-sync after about 15 seconds of inactivity. You don't need to resubmit the form every time the channel changes. Submitting this field always replaces the **whole** channel list with whatever's selected at submit time — it's not additive. Clearing every channel and submitting removes the channel-based reference entirely (uploads and links are untouched). ### Add or Remove a Single Message Right-click any message → **Apps** → **Add to Reference** / **Remove from Reference** Lets you include or exclude one specific message without touching the channel list as a whole — useful for pulling in a message from a channel you haven't fully added, or excluding one noisy message from a channel you have. Both context commands require Discord's **Manage Server** permission (or this server's admin role) — same as everything else on this page. ## Upload Documents `/settings` → Reference → **Manage** button → **Reference documents** field → attach file(s) → submit Plain-text formats only (`.txt`, `.md`, `.csv`, `.json`, and similar). There's currently no button to remove an uploaded document. Uploading a new file with the **exact same name** as an existing one replaces its content — that's the only way to update or effectively retire one. There's no way to delete an upload outright and drop it from the count. ## Document Links `/settings` → Reference → **Manage** button → **Document links** field → one URL per line → submit Aiko fetches each URL's readable content (stripped of navigation/boilerplate) and folds it into the reference material the same way a channel or upload is. * Each link's content is capped at 40,000 characters. * Fetching a single link times out after 20 seconds. * All links are validated (fetched successfully) before anything is saved — if any one URL fails, none of the links from that submission are saved. Unlike uploads, this field is a full replacement list, not additive — it's pre-filled with your current links, so if you clear it and submit, all links are removed. Editing in place (add/remove a line, keep the rest) works the way you'd expect. ## Limits | | Aiko Free | Aiko Plus / Pro / Max | | -------------------------- | --------- | --------------------- | | Reference document uploads | 1 | 10 | | Reference document links | 1 | 3 | Reference channels have no plan-based count limit — only the per-channel 500-message / 40,000-character caps above. Going over your upload or link limit doesn't delete anything — it just stops including the oldest ones in what Aiko actually reads from, in favor of the most recent ones, until you're back under the limit. You need Discord's **Manage Server** permission (or this server's configured admin role) to change any reference material. ## What reference material is for It's what Aiko actually reads from to answer server-specific questions — it doesn't change her tone (that's [server persona](/docs/server-personality) or [personal persona](/docs/personal-personality)), and it's not the same as a [FAQ](/docs/aiko-bot/faq) entry, which is a single exact question/answer pair that skips the AI entirely on a match. Reference material is the broader pool an answer gets grounded in when nothing in the FAQ matches. # Server Personality Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/server-personality Setup server system prompt for Aiko Server persona sets Aiko's tone for **everyone** in this server, layered on top of Aiko's base personality. Unlike personal persona, it isn't isolated per user — every member gets the same baseline tone unless they've layered their own [personal persona](/docs/personal-personality) on top (Plus/Pro/Max only). There are two ways to set the server persona. ## Choose a Preset `/settings` → Persona → open the preset dropdown → pick one Same five presets available to individual members: | Preset | Style | | ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | friendly | Warm, upbeat, and encouraging; casual, welcoming tone | | professional | Polished and professional; no slang, no emoji | | playful | Playful and witty, light humor, occasional kaomoji | | concise | Fewest words possible, skips pleasantries | | support | Patient, empathetic; reassures first, then step-by-step help | ## Write a Custom Persona `/settings` → Persona → **Custom** button → enter your own instructions → submit Up to 1500 characters. Unlike the personal persona modal, Discord doesn't enforce the 1500-character cap on this field as you type — it's only checked after you submit. Go over, and submission is rejected with "that's too long (max 1500 chars)"; shorten it and resubmit. Typing `clear`, `reset`, `none`, or `off` as the custom text also resets the persona to the base personality — same effect as **Set as Default** below, just from inside the modal. ## Reset the server persona `/settings` → Persona → **Set as Default** button Clears the server override entirely — Aiko falls back to her base personality (no preset, no custom text). Members who've set their own personal persona are unaffected; it keeps layering on top of whatever the server persona currently is. There's no separate "current setting" line here — the Persona heading itself shows the live state: `Persona-friendly`, `Persona-custom`, or `Persona-default`. ## Limits Server persona is available on **every plan**, including Free. Custom persona text: 1–1500 characters. You need Discord's **Manage Server** permission (or this server's configured admin role) to change the server persona. ## What server persona is for It sets the *baseline* tone for the whole server — how Aiko talks to everyone by default. It doesn't change what Aiko knows (that's [memory](/docs/memory)) or what she can answer (that's [reference material](/docs/reference)). Members on paid plans can still layer their own [personal persona](/docs/personal-persona) on top of whatever you set here. # Service Settings Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/service-settings Configure Aiko's optional service modules: mentions, ticket assistant, and FAQ Service Settings groups three optional modules behind one screen. Each is independent — turning one on or off has no effect on the others. ## Open Service Settings `/settings` → **Manage** next to **Service Settings** Each module below has its own **Manage** button on this screen. You need Discord's **Manage Server** permission to change this. Mention settings control where Aiko answers @mentions and replies. They don't affect the `/aiko` slash command, which always works where it's available. ### Open mention settings Service Settings → **Manage** next to **Mention → Modal Form** | Field | Meaning | | -------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Enabled** | Turns @mention/reply responses on or off for the whole server. Members can still use `/aiko` when off. | | **Scope** | **All channels** — respond anywhere Aiko can read. **Whitelist only** — respond only in the listed channels. **All except blacklist** — respond everywhere except the listed channels. | | **Whitelist/blacklist channels** | Used by the Scope modes above; ignored in All channels mode. | Common setups: a dedicated help channel → **Whitelist only** + `#help`. Keep Aiko out of staff areas → **All except blacklist** + staff channels. Slash-command only → turn **Enabled** off. The ticket assistant automatically answers questions from non-staff members inside designated support-ticket categories, using the server's [reference material](/docs/reference) — no @mention needed. ### Open ticket settings Service Settings → **Manage** next to **Ticket Assistant → Modal Form** | Field | Meaning | | ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Enabled** | Turns the assistant on or off for the whole server. | | **Ticket categories** | Every channel inside these Discord **categories** counts as a ticket channel. Pick categories, not individual channels. | | **Staff roles** | Members with any of these roles are never auto-answered; while one is active in a channel, auto-answers pause there. | | **Cooldown (seconds)** | Minimum time between auto-answers in the same channel. Whole number, **0–3600**. | Because nobody @mentioned Aiko, the assistant stays **silent** instead of apologizing whenever it can't help — a staff member is active, the channel's on cooldown, the reference material has nothing grounded to answer with, or the server/member is over its [usage quota](/docs/quota). Requires [reference material](/docs/reference) to be bound to the server — with none configured, it stays silent for every question. FAQ fast-path answers common questions instantly and for free, skipping the AI cascade entirely — as long as the incoming question is a close paraphrase of something already saved. Exact wording never has to match. ### Open FAQ settings Service Settings → **Manage** next to **FAQ** Every FAQ control lives on this one screen. **Enable / Disable** — turns FAQ matching on or off. Existing entries are never deleted by disabling; turning it back on brings them all back immediately. **Entry → Add** — opens a modal with **Question** (matched by meaning, not exact wording) and **Answer** (shown to users exactly as written, no other context added). Goes live immediately on submit. **All Entries → View** — lists every live entry in full, each with its own **Remove** button. The only place entries are removed, whether typed manually or generated by AI. **Generate from reference** — drafts FAQ pairs from whatever [reference material](/docs/reference) is already bound, using AI. Pick how many to generate (pre-filled with however many entries are left before the cap). Auto-writes each returned pair live. Generating costs real credits, billed the same as a normal AI answer, and is subject to the server's [usage quota](/docs/quota). A reference document must already be bound — Aiko can't generate from nothing. A server can hold at most **10** live FAQ entries in total — manual and AI-generated combined, on every plan. #### What a FAQ match looks like | Part | Content | | ------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Header | **FAQ found** | | Body | The matched **Q:** and **A:**, verbatim | | Footer | **Confidence: N%** — how closely your question matched the saved one | No **sources** or **usage** buttons on a FAQ-matched reply — there's no AI cascade run to show for it, and it cost nothing. If nothing matches closely enough, or FAQ is disabled, Aiko falls through to the normal AI cascade instead. FAQ matching runs before every real question — @mention, `/aiko`, and the ticket assistant alike. It doesn't apply to Aiko's internal utility calls (e.g. extracting a memory fact). # Start Chat Source: https://aiko.tenji.top/docs/start-chat Start a conversation with Aiko There are 3 different ways to trigger a conversation with Aiko, slash command, reply to Aiko, and mention Aiko. ## Slash Command Always work, one of the easiest way to chat with aiko, simply use ```text theme={null} /aiko ``` Then, Aiko will reply to your words. This method is not affected by server blacklist/whitelist. When quota exhausted, Aiko will reply with an ephemeral reminder. If slash command is not working, you may want to check "Use Application Commands" permission in that channel, it should be ON. ## Reply to Aiko Direct way to talk, Aiko traces back up the Discord reply chain for up to **five messages** and sends them to the language model as conversation history. When quota exhausted, Aiko will reply with a public reminder. ## Mention Aiko Mention Aiko directly can also trigger conversation, same as slash command, this way do not bring any chat history. When quota exhausted, Aiko will reply with a public reminder. Server administrators can turn mention and reply responses off, or restrict them to selected channels. This does not disable `/aiko`.
